Fashion aesthetics is the language discipline and quality of life of mankind in the future, and is a part of the world’s cultural and artistic exchanges. The “China-US International Fashion Festival” is divided into two parts, fashion shows and program art performances, sharing harmonious time and space.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since ancient times, clothing has been not only a material demand for clothing but also a symbol of culture and identity. To enhance cultural exchanges and understanding between the people of China and the United States, and promote the rich and colorful clothing culture. Under the guidance of the World Peace Federation, hosted by the Washington International Cultural and Art Exchange Center and the Huaxia Clothing Culture Professional Committee of the Chinese Cultural and Education Research Center, co-organized by the Washington State Hunan Hometown Association, the China-US Family, the Seattle Cheongsam Association, and the Seattle Shanghai Friendship Association, and supported by the “North American Workshop” clothing, the 2025 first “China-US International Fashion Festival” will kick off on June 14, 2025 in Washington State, USA.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:When Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech at the joint welcome banquet of American friendly groups last year, he pointed out the importance of promoting more movement and exchanges between the people of the two countries. Cultural exchanges between China and the United States can promote understanding and friendship between the two countries. In 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan visited Lincoln Middle School in Tacoma and accepted footballs and football jerseys presented by students. Ten years ago, we joined the welcoming team and temporarily purchased materials to make 40 five-star red flags, one of the largest of which has been collected by the “China Overseas Chinese History Museum”. This year marks the 46th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between China and the United States, In his speech at the welcome ceremony of the 2024 Sixth China-US Friendship Cities Conference, Zhang Jianmin, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco, said that “there are 286 pairs of friendly provinces, states and cities between China and the United States.” Among them: Tacoma, Washington State, and Fujian, China have had friendly exchanges for 31 years, and Seattle and Chongqing, China, have celebrated their 40th anniversary of sister cities this year.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to data from the Office of the United States Trade Representative in 2021, China accounts for about 28.2% of the total US clothing imports and is the largest clothing importer in the United States. China is Washington State’s largest export destination, and Washington State ranks first among US states in exports to China.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The China-US International Fashion Festival is about cultivating cultural literacy and spiritual cultivation. With the deepening of globalization in the field of clothing, the exchanges between China and the United States in clothing culture and fashion are becoming frequent, and the “China-US International Fashion Festival” for China-US clothing culture exchange came into being. Each set of clothing contains a profound cultural heritage. During the show, we can see the cross-cultural integration of the East and the West, making the show more colorful, and aiming to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the field of fashion.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
