ROUND THE WORLD YACHT RACE TO SEATTLE IS SOUGHT AFTER<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 2022 Round the World Yacht Race, sailors traveled 6,000 nautical miles from the Philippines to Seattle in about 30 days. The yacht stayed in Seattle for five days and set off again on the 30th local time. From the next stop, it will cross the Panama Canal, stop in Bermuda and New York, and will end the race in London.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is reported that when he was 30 years old, Robin Knox-Johnston of the United Kingdom sailed around the world by himself. In recognition of his courage, Elizabeth Mitte of England knighted him.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the founder of The Clipper Race, welcomes everyone. He said: “Our goal is not just to race, but to develop seafarers, and the essence of good sailing is safety – it’s all about safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seattle Deputy Mayor Kendee Yamaguchi, representatives of Seattle, including the Seattle Sports Commission, and sailing fans, greeted the yacht racing team at Seattle’s Bell Harbor Pier and set off for the next stop at the Seattle Harbor Pier.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to captain Ian Wiggin, the crew members are ordinary people who are trained to be sailors for the competition. The staff come from all walks of life, they can be bankers, doctors, pilots, and various ships. They had four weeks of very intense training in the UK and then they became a board member and this training continued throughout the competition. Twelve fleets from 40 different countries participated in the competition, including UNICEF, Sanya, China, Zhuhai, China, and staff from Seattle.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arrival of the “round the world sailing race” attracted many fans to watch and refuel. Many overseas Chinese gathered here from all directions to welcome the relatives of the motherland on the two ships of the motherland and communicated cordially.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
