中国留美学生陈烁嘉毕业创作夺得17个奖项

陈烁嘉，广东潮州人，刚刚毕业于美国迈阿密大学（University of Miami）电影硕士专业。她的毕业作品《妈妈别杀我》（）夺下Accolade Global Film Competition的最佳女性电影人（学生）等多个电影节的17个奖项。

《妈妈别杀我》是一部心理学幻想短片，讲的是一名8岁大的小女孩反复被自己的妈妈杀死，直到她被迫回忆起妈妈已经死亡的真相。陈烁嘉表示，“儿童在经历创伤性事件后，可能会表现得迟钝，但实际上他们的整个世界都已经天翻地覆了。孩子的世界很小，家庭变故，校园暴力等事件都可能对他们的身心发展产生严重的负面影响。我希望通过这一部短片，呼吁所有父母和社会更多地去关心儿童的精神健康。”

陈烁嘉说：‘我想要以后多拍一些比较有深度的电影，比如呼吁种族平等，宣传和平，保护海洋等主题的片子。我一直在关注社会上发生的一些事件，未来我还想尝试着写一些反映人性的，根据真实事件改编的剧本’

Shuojia Sandy Chen Wins Award in Accolade Global Film Competition

Miami, Florida – Shuojia Sandy Chen has won a prestigious Award of Merit (Woman Filmmakers) from The Accolade Global Film Competition. The award was given for Shuojia’s exciting short film, My Mom Wants to Kill Me. My Mom Wants to Kill Me features exceptional story line and visual effects design. It is a story about an 8-year-old girl Alice being killed by her mom over and over again, until she accepts the truth of her mom’s death.

“I want to remind everyone through this short film that trauma can be extremely harmful to children, and even if they try to be strong, trauma can still turn their little world upside down”, said the Director Shuojia Sandy Chen

The Accolade recognizes film, television, videography, and new media professionals who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity, and those who produce standout entertainment or contribute to profound social change. Entries are judged by highly qualified professionals in the film and television industry.

Rick Prickett, who chairs The Accolade Global Film Competition, had this to say about the latest winners, “The Accolade is not an easy award to win.
